The quinceañera is a traditional celebration of life and gratitude to God on the occasion of the fifteenth birthday of a young Hispanic woman. The rite is frequently celebrated in several countries in the Americas, including Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean. The ritual emphasizes her passage from childhood to adulthood. The family usually requests a Mass or a Bible Service blessing to be held in the Church.
In our parish, the candidate participates in a preparation program/class as demanded by the Diocese. Each candidate must provide a certified proof that indicates that she has completed this class in our parish or elsewhere. The above documents must be in our files one month prior to the celebration.
Each candidate must complete an application form and pay a non-refundable reservation fee to secure the date and time. This must be done at least one month before the celebration.
